Have you ever played Minecraft on an M1 Mac Hey! Looking at the reviews for the new Macs, specifically the MacBook Pro, I'm very tempted to switch over from my Surface Pro 4 to a Mac. I was a Mac user during the Snow Leopard to Mavericks days. However, I changed to Windows a few decades ago. I have a lot of programs that which I've read about working well on M1, but do you know if Minecraft (Java), works on an M1 Mac. It's one of my most played games I don't believe I could replace my PC with one that doesn't run my favorite game. Java is available on ARM however I've never heard of anyone playing Minecraft on an M! Mac! minecraft server list Thanks! (Hopefully I put this post in the correct place!) It is highly recommended. The M1 Mac will blow your surface out of the water performance wise. It's only an issue of time until Minecraft is optimized to the M1. As of now you'll be able to use either version. Bedrock (because M1's can natively run applications for iOS/iPadOS today) and Java (translated in real time running Rosetta 2 which is built in. You won't even notice the difference. I tried to side load Minecraft to my M1 Mac, but the keyboard and mouse wouldn't work. How did you side load it sir? Yes Information from the video: Java does not have a native M1 application, so it has to use Rosetta 2 Emulation. He looked at the Baseline 7-core GPU MacBook Air to the Baseline 8-core GPU MacBook Pro. The MBP generated the world (same source on both) at a rate of a second however the MacBook Air seemed to be getting a bit more FPS due to some reason (he used the same graphics settings on both). This comparison has a problem. He left vsync running, so the FPS is only 60 FPS. It would've been interesting to find out how high it could really go. iOS, Android and Windows 10 versions of Minecraft all play nicely together, while the PC and Mac versions of Minecraft will not work with a Pocket Edition Realms server. In other words that if you own an iOS device and your buddies are all on Android you can still play together.
